A Saturday Morning Reminder…

Throughout this past week, God has really dealt with me about the passion that should lie deep within all of our lives to take the Gospel of Jesus to the world in which we live.  As I have reflected over this, I cannot help but realize how necessary spiritual formation is for each of us in order to fulfill this incredible mission that God has placed each of us here for.  Without this transformation, which starts at the core of our being and overflows into the everyday activity of our lives, there is no chance that we will ever be as effective as we should.  Understanding this, I am convinced that we as leaders, pastors, teachers, etc. must devote ourselves to the spiritual disciplines like we have never before.  People are hurting all around and without us being where we ought to be in our relationship with God there truly is no hope.

One of the most amazing things to fully understand is that in the midst of all of the chaos and corruption of this world, God placed each of us here for now.  He has trusted us with this moment!  Knowing this, we must take serious the anointing and calling that God has placed upon our lives, and get after it for His glory.  One of my favorite passages of scripture is where Paul is encouraging the church at Ephesus to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which they had been called.  Paul wanted this church to understand, as he does for us today, that we have a responsibility to not only fulfill the mission, but to live life worthy of that mission.  To be like Jesus.  To love and lead just as He did.

Let us declare today that our desire is for Him.  That everything we do is done to lift up His fame and His renown and that we will accomplish great things for His glory!  I am truly praying for all of you guys!

Blessings!
